Early Three’s

This week in Early Three’s we’ve been learning about butterflies! We read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and did a story sequencing activity after.

We made watercolor butterflies.

We learned the number 9 and counted 9 birds. Look out for our adorable Spring Birds in the hallway. We had Science with Miss Jackie and learned about air pressure. The kids enjoyed the fun experiments! We had Yoga Special too!!

As part of our Art curriculum, we are learning about different types of art and ways to express yourself. We are so grateful that artist Dawn Godfrey with “Mural, Mural On The Wall” shared her talents with us. Klee City Scapes

This was the Creative Tots first art enrichment project of the year! We learned about Paul Klee’s love of bright colors and cats! We created our own buildings inspired by Klee’s Cityscape and the tots had some messy fun experimenting with chalk pastels!

Once finished with the chalk pastels we used tissue paper to blend the colors together.

We read the book, The Cat and the Bird: A Children’s Book Inspired by Paul Klee, written by Geraldine Elschner & Peggy Nille.

Hard at Work in Pre-K

This week we have been found dabbling in some art, measuring penguins, patterning and fishin’ for sight words! Check us out…we are “Hard at Work”!








Gingerbread Fun

This week we’ve been making some secret items getting ready for our upcoming winter party! However, we did make some fabulous Gingerbread people and houses that we can share and we enjoyed many tales of various Gingerbread stories!



Leaves, Leaves All Around Leaves are Falling to the Ground

It’s Autumn in Pre-K! We are exploring our senses with leaves this week and discussing the changes that come with the fall season. We’ve added a few pics from our week to show you what we’ve been up to!






Chicka Chicka Boom Boom we are Busy Busy in the Pre-k Room

We practiced writing our names, reviewed ABC’s and letter sounds and we even made our own books! We also painted, journaled and did lots of fine motor activities that revolved around Chicka Chicka Boom Boom !
